I bought one of these for the hell of it.
A Snark SN-2 Clip On Tuner. There's not much of a review I can give about it accept that it's a tuner, and it works.
I have a Boss TU-12H that I use for all my fancy smancy intonation type work. I have a built in tuner in my TC Electronic G Major as well. However, sometimes I'm lazy, don't feel like plugging in to tune, sometimes I don't have a battery in one of my acoustics, or whatever. This tuner is great. It's great when my friends are sitting around playing acoustics and need to tune up real quick. It's great when we're sitting around playing electrics and need to tune up real quick. I don't know if it's accurate enough to do intonation, I highly doubt it, but who cares?. However, it is good enough to tune up and jam. It does exactly what I bought it for.
Honestly, I wouldn't have any problem using this if I was still gigging. It has a great visable face on it. I love the way it can swivel to work with the headstocks of any of my guitars.
If I'm wasted and forget to turn it off, it will turn itself off after two minutes of not hearing/feeling any vibrations. It is also calibrated to use with just about any stringed instrument as well. It goes from 415-446 HZ for tuning.
It also has a tap tempo metronome feature, which I'll never use, but still cool cool to have nonetheless.
Anyways, I think they usually sell for $29.99 at most places, but I bought it off of Amazon. com for $12.67 from the seller listed at the top, which is BG Music.
