    Mostly Fullerplast I imagine. A thick, goopy concoction developed as an all-in-one sealer/filler To speed up assembly.



    Ya see Wahah's Strat ? Where the paint is gone, under the right forearm ? Bare alder turns to a grey colour. What you see in Wahah's is Fullerplast. My '74 Tele Custom that was in Aceman's Tele Poll recently is Fullerplast that was under the thick poly sunburst that i stripped off a while ago.

        Looks like a sloppy tape job or some overspray, not a thick coat to me.

          nitro never fully cures or hardens = it is constantly evaporating and getting thinner
