Loved everything about my cherry sunburst 80 Deluxe...except the mini hums. Did not work for what i need in my band, that fat humbucker crunch. I traded it for a first year Orville by Gibson white LPC (and some cash)...always wanted a white LPC Like my MIJ Epi LPC, it plays as good/better than my '91 gold top Standard. Both have perfect weight (blackie is a tad lighter,) both have that solid LP tone, dark boards and everything to satisfy my LP jones. Put in a BK VHII creme set with gold screws, blackie has a Duncan Jazz neck and BK VHII. Since I gig every Friday, I alternate LPs (the gold top too)..hopefully they'll all wear evenly.

Re: NGD Ying/Yang
Thanks bro...feels the SAME! I love that I won't have to make any 'adjustments' when I swap....like playing the same guitar. Both have that in-between feel of a 50's-60's neck...perfect for me. Whitey is a tad heavier and a slightly 'nasal' tone...which I dig. Both LPs and even goldie kick ass with that uber ballsy tone I love, great neck tones too. I made matching reverse straps for both too...hehe

On a technical note - it REALLY disturbs me that there are not black pups in the white, and there is a black pup in the black. Get a black switch tip for Yang.
You need custom truss covers. The white one is technically Yang, the Black is Yin.
Those are awesome.Last edited by Aceman; 07-25-2011, 07:52 AM.Originally posted by Bad City

Master Ace has the EYE for detail.... hehe...I'm a creme fanboy....you're probably right about the black pups...I love the truss cover idea, I used to make my own donuts, I have to do a yin/yang for sure now! Black tip on the white toggle...done! Thanks guys....

Re: NGD Ying/Yang
Thats gorgeous! White pups in LPs is sort of uncommon.. I remember the first time I saw one was Steve Stevens' and it blew my mind..Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.
