Washburn WM24. Both Bloodrose and I own these and both of us love um. Mine is a 08 hardtail. I only paid $200 on a close out shipped dropped a set of Duncans in it ( Alnico II Pro neck Custom Custom bridge) and have been playing the heck out of it. GREAT sounding guitar that plays like a dream and looks killer.
Stomps the living crap out of the Mex Fenders and the like in fit finish and playability!!

why not a 600$ warmoth tele? you can have one with GFS hardware if you want, for something like 600$ indeed.something like bake your cake and eat it too?

$600 seems like a lot for a beater guitar, for that price you could get 2 guitars from GFS...
