They're supposedly based on a design George Fullerton came up with in the 80's but never saw production. They're pretty much in the PRS vein of "Strat shaped but built like a Les Paul". I guess they're trying to get a piece of what PRS SE is doing, just like Charvel recently tried to do with Schecter.
I'm not too crazy on the color finishes or the headstock shape, but I could warm up to the Ascari.
Edit: Now I know what seems so familiar about that. It's not PRS!
