    well likes like i have to buy another Gibson SG

    New Pete Townshend Signature SG models released in white finnish... i have one from the first batch 10 years ago... nice axes...

    guess i need a white one since the street price is killer!

    I saw those in the Sam Ash catalog....Me want too!

          I was suprised that a sig/tribute model would be priced reasonably... Ive never had a guitar with a tailpiece like that. Do they intonate ok?
          Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

            As you say, they intonate ok. But not as precice as a tom.

              Yeah, they are OK within a certain range of specs. If you like to use heavy strings or to have higher string height, they are the pits. There are [ugly] aftermarket alternatives, or you can just install a TOM and stop tailpiece and be happy as others scorn you.

              P.S. I just looked it up and you can get versions for both a plain 3rd string or a wound 3rd, so that is not as much of an issue as I thought.

                      Saw one at GC the other day, didn't get a chance to play it but first thing I said when I saw it was "COOL!"

                        It's not in the cards, but I can't get my mind off the all gold Sam Ash Exclusive. The pelham blue is killer too.
