Do you ever dream about gear you want? Last week I dreamed that I bought a White Falcon but it ended up being fake. Just took a nap, and dreamed I put a daphne blue Fender Mustang on layaway...

So does it happen to you?

Yes... a couple of them I can remember.

Donal wanted to sell me Rory's Strat (Gallagher) and I said I just couldn't accept it because I would never play the guitar the same way.

I somehow won a 1959 Tweed Bassman on ebay for $64.

I had a pedalboard with a bunch of cool pedals but didn't know how it got in my room.

I had a dream awhile ago that EVH put me in his will and I got his guitars...It was weird.

I find that if I do dream about guitar, which is something that happens once in a blue moon, it isn't the guitar that's unusual, it's the amps, a pair of marshall stacks, a couple of Vox combos, fender bassman stacks.

I've come up with 2 or 3 but usually fall asleep. If i have a particular dream I love, I'll wake up and compose the soundtrack to it.

That pisses me off so bad when that happens to me. In my dreams I would write that one great song, the one that would put me on the map, however when i awake it is gone and forgotten.

SOmetimes I have a dream where I'd get thrown on stage for a show. Thing is I'm so unprepared for it. I'm in a frantic rush. What am I going play? Where's my gear? etc. Hate that.

Then you wake up and think for a second, damn that was great! I was gonna be huge and now it's lost forever.

Hah! Yeah, it's always so much more epic in my dream than it is in reality. Still though... I've recalled a bunch of cool riffs/half songs from my dreams. Just get up and play right after you wake up. Kinda like having a dream diary but with a guitar.

I've definitely had more than one dream with a huge pedalboard and a crazy ass stack of some sort.
I even once dreamed with the Bogner Shiva I tried once. That thing is just haunting.

And tonight I dreamed of getting away from the cops in a Lamborghini Murcielago.
So I've kind of got a knack for this sort of thing.

I have had this start happening the past year or so too, I do dream about gear on occasion too, but more about playing, which generates some interesting playing ideas.... nice to know I am not alone...
