sigh..I'm getting buzz of the electrical variety.

It's a little odd. Most noticable under gain (as always) and loudest if I rest my picking hand on the strings over the selected pickup. Bridge pickup is louder. Sounds like when you place your thumb on the tip of your instrument cable. Ideas?

before you put pink strings on your guitar did it hum when you had the controls up and didnt have your hands on the guitar?

No humming, just buzz when my hand is next to the pickup (louder if also touching strings).

Sounds like you've got the live and ground reversed somewhere and you're live is going through the strings and things. It won't be as loud as touching the open tip of a plug on a cord but it will sound similar. it will happen on any " grounded " part of the guitar that you touch.
