^like never.....black guard on a OW strat...eh....nah the anodized stays on...plus it shields well, it is also shieldpainted on the inside.....so besides using NS pickups it is also virtually static free
As quiet as my CS Beck strat...and that one is dead quiet.

Great looking guitar! Anodized guards are the ****, especially on a white, red, or sunburst Strat.

I wish my Strat was white instead of this terrible yellow:
