  • Wiring two volumes and one tone with push/pull pots to split pickups

Two volumes and ONE tone pot. I don't want to use the tone pot to split because both pickups would either be humbucker or split at the same time. I want to use the volume pots so I can choose either or, or both at once. I take it the additional part of the push/pull pot is wired the same whether it is volume or tone? In other words, whether it is a tone pot or volume pot, the same lug gets grounded and the same lug gets the red and white wires soldered to it?

Seymour's diagram using tone pots to split (for 2 vol, 2 tone)
    My songs....enjoy! (hopefully )

Yes, whatever wires go to the tonepots switch portion(in the diagrams), wire them to the volume pots switch. So white and red to the middle lug and then the outer lug to the back of the volume pots.

I assume you know how to wire the whole thing with jsut ONE tone pot as the diagram is for TWO.

Cool, thanks! Yup, I have the rest of the wiring down. Just needed to verify the "extras".
