I was wondering if it would sound bad or mess my cab up by securing the back panel with a screw from outside by the input jack area to the brace that goes through the cab from front to back. I tried puting foam between the brace and the back plate because an amp maker said to do that. I found it to take away from the resonance of the cab and muddy it up a bit. Now the back plate has a little play between it and the brace. I also wondered about putting insulation or foam on the backplate but leaving the brace as is or screwed to the backplate. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
