I just bought a Zakk Wylde crybaby. Havent recieved it yet but I been reading up on it. Hearing alot about it not having a true bypass and that its a tone sucker. Is this just super critical guys trashing it or is it really that bad. Is it worth the work to to a true bypass mod on it?

Not tried that model. The original crybaby did suck tone when I had it. Wasn't a huge deal. I lost some high end.Peavey Wolfgang(USA) EBMM pickups

I have no idea of the Wylde Wah is TB or not but FWIW, I prefer a non TB wah...I like the little bit of high end that gets shaved off.
That said if you want to make it TB when you get it it's not hard.If you just read a post by The Guy Who Invented Fire please understand that opinions change, mind sets change and as players our ears mature...not to mention our needs grow and change. With that in mind, today I may or may not agree with the post you just read!
