Havne't Cort been doing contract manufacturing for a lot of the more-recognized brands for a long time -- like Ibanez, LTD, Schecter, Epiphone before the Chinese factory?

They've been making the Fender Special Editions for years. I've got two of them. Seymour Duncan pups and every bit as good as my American Standard.

I find the Cort stuff is good once you get into the $300+ range. My friend has a mid-range Cort classical with cutaway and electronics that sounds great. I've been around a lot of Corts thanks to the gig I had in the music store.

I remember when Dean came out with the Batio and Cooley guitars. A few months later, Cort seemed to come out with their own...




Can't find the Cort "Cooley" but it was nearly identical to this:
