I have the explorer version. They are good solid guitars.
Got mine for $250 a couple of months ago, in Atlanta. They're well worth the $299.Last edited by karpathion; 05-31-2012, 07:58 AM.

These are a lot of guitar for 3 bills! If you just read a post by The Guy Who Invented Fire please understand that opinions change, mind sets change and as players our ears mature...not to mention our needs grow and change. With that in mind, today I may or may not agree with the post you just read!

Re: Musician's Friend Melody Maker deals...
I would get one, but the thing is it would be 300$ I would never play. If I didn't have a humbucker guitar maybe, but I don't see the point is getting a downgrade.
Unless I can set it up for slide......- Gibson CS ES339 - Gibson Les Paul Trad - Gibson J-200 Standard - Fender Hwy1 Strat - Gibson Captain Kirk Douglas SG - Takamine E-series Acoustic - Fender Blues Deluxe - Fender Excelsior -

Re: Musician's Friend Melody Maker deals...
They did the same thing with the Jackson DK2M just before they got discontinued last year. They all disappeared a few days after the sale. I'm still kicking myself for missing that opportunity.
So if this is the same scenario, you better act fast before they're gone.
