  • Demo of P Series Guitars

    Hi Guys,
I have been asked quite a lot for demo's of the Crossley P series guitars,
So in desperation, I ended up making one myself..
Please excuse the playing, its more about the tonal structure of the guitar that I'm trying to demonstrate..
    Also Australian Accent Warning...

Hi Pete. I'd been wondering whether things were okay for you, haven't seen you around here for a while.

The guitars sound great, and I appreciated that you started off by using clean sound and letting some chords ring out in the demo's. To me, that's where the real truth of the matter is. I could still hear heaps of articulation with the drive kicked in, i suspect the ebony board and the pickups may have something to do with that.

I loved the truss rod coverplate, beautiful work.

Great to hear a builder doing his own demo, it just feels much more direct, informative and honest somehow. Or yours does, anyway. I'm sure potential clients would appreciate being able to see this, too.

And he returns with a bang...

Exceptional clarity across all positions on the first guitar, especially the neck pu. The second guitar is a screamer!

The magnetic covers are a cool touch; I've seen some other luthiers use them. You'd think more people would do this, as the screw holes for the control cavity and truss rod cover don't take much reaming until they're stripped.

Also great to see you rocking the Iron Duke amp - I've been quite interested in it since it came out, being touted as a Marshally type with nice clean.

Awesome demo, only gripe with the demo itself is that there's a huge volume difference between the guitar and your voice so I'd constantly raise and lower the volume.

Other than that, gorgeous guitar, huge and articulate tone and some pretty sweet playing

                    Congrats!!!
