  • guitar woods and sound difference

I have seen a guitar that has a mahagony body and mahagony top with a maple neck and ebony fret board. I wanted to know that the sound difference given the same pickups would be vs. a mahagony body and maple top with mahagony neck and rosewood fretboard?

Re: guitar woods and sound difference

usually ebony will have a bit stronger attack particularly in the high end where rosewood will overall be warmer in sound.
