  • recording sophtware?

    i got this 25 dollar gift certificate to amazon . com and i dont really know how to spend it (b-day) and than i re alized they sell sophware.....is there any decent sophware i could get for 25 (new or used) from there? i wouldnt mind throwing in an aditional 20 or so bucks, so say anything good under 50......

    if not, u guys no of anything else usefull i can get off there besides a cd.....

      I think you can normally get a few decent ones free.

      Cakewalk Express is pretty decent to start with.

              audacity's site has a link for linux, and its free, i tried it out on mrid;s suggestion and it works for what i need, just simple recording, hopefully at some point ill stop being lazy, drag my amp, guitar, and pedals, up to my room, and record something for you all to hear.......

              on that note, mrid, does audacity make mp3's of the stuff u record or do u need that other link? also, how can i get mp3's hosted on the web for free?
