  • ENGL users (i know you're out there), what settings do you use?

    Im still learning my settings on my ENGL savage 120, so i dont have much to share. Only that the sortof classic crunch setting im currently stuffing around with has:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Clean gain - 3 oclock
    Crunch1 gain - 4 oclock

    Bass - 2 oclock
    Mid - 11 oclock
    Treble - 9 oclock

    Presence - 9:30

    Sensitivity, preshape and depth boost buttons - on
    Bright and contour buttons - off

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    But ive got a stack of tweaking to do yet, ive just started.

        On my Tube Toner preamp, I use the following settings:

        CLEAN CHANNEL
        Gain = 11:00
        Volume = anywhwere around 11:00
        Bright switch OFF

        DISTORTION CHANNEL
        Gain = 1:00
        Volume = about 1:30 - 2:00

        EQ
        Treb = 12:00
        Mid = 1:00
        Bass = 2:00
        Presence = 2:30 - 3:00

        I use the CLEAN and HEAVY LEAD channels only, pretty much.

        On my Marshall EL34 100/100, I have the Gain all the way up, and the Presence at 50%. I do NOT have the "Modern" switch engaged.

        I use a Fulltone Fat Boost between the preamp and amp for solos.
        Why don't you take your little Cobra Kais and get outta here?!
