This is what’s cooking at my house. It’s at the luthiers now getting a proper set up. It’s a 50’s tribute model. I’ll post an NGD when it’s done.

Not a "build" as such, but just finished putting these bits together.

I guess you could say it's kind of a 'screw you' to crazy Jimi Fenders, and a little bit of the same to Ibanez for never having decent colour matches (body & headstock) for left-handers.

This GIO GRX50 originally had a neck with New Zealand pine fretboard and BLACK headstock. I mean, what the hell, Ibanez? Anyway, sold the original neck and got this RX20 lefty neck instead. Was not easy tracking down a maple neck at all.

And here's a nasty piece of work I put together a couple of weeks ago...

Obviously a right handed tremolo wasn't going to work precisely on a left handed body, but I figured whatever. I rendered the neck completely useless by removing that sixth tuner FOREVER. The strings are slightly off as you can probably see, the control knob is disconnected and the pickups are connected right to the output. It sounds nasty, but I think it's hilarious to completely mess up a cheap guitar like this.

The best part of this guitar is the electric tuner, which was an interesting addition to an Ashton, but I desoldered the whole thing right at the circuit board and left it in because it leaves one hell of a cavity if you take it out.

Please post it on craigslist for $1,000 as a custom lefty 5 string and post the emails you get into a thread.

I just wanna know how you managed to get it to stick to the ceiling like that. Are your pickups out of phase?

Gonna have to do a little carving to fit the angled HB...Musikraft ’84 Red Pacer Imperial Build didn’t come out to expectation so parted ways s with the Vintage Kramer Body and picked up a 2013 Charvel So Cal Body In Candy Blue. Warmoth PG with Vintage Late 70s DiMarzio SDS1 Neck & Middle/Tone Zone F Bridge all in Blue which will be connected to DiMarzio 500k Vol/ Fender TBX Tone x 2. Lastly; an ‘87 OFR with 34mm Big Brass Block.

I've had this Warmoth Explorer body for probably 15 years. It's been my ongoing amateur guitar project. Had some cheaper g&b humbuckers and a strat style neck on it for a while but decided it needed an explorer style angled headstock and better pickups.

Neck is an maple/rosewood ebay special.
Pickups are Duncan Designed HB-103's with a push/pull coil split on the volume pot
Body is Warmoth mohagany circa 2002-2003
                          Bridge is Gotoh
Got the tuners at a local guitar shop around 15 years ago, not sure of the brand

I've left the body unfinished all these years, it's got some scuffs and dings, but I still can't decide how/if I want to finish it
So far it plays well and sounds good. Got some black speed knobs ordered for it to replaces the amber knobs.

ChApZ, I like the kind of Maverick-esque point to the lower end of the body. It really works
