Hey guys, my friend bought this off ebay. (cause it was cheap and he wanted a chorus pedal...) is it any good? its discontinued.

I wouldn't have bought it, but he has to decide for himself.

If he got himself a Boss Chorus, I doubt he'd have been disappointed.

For 20 bucks I would have, just to try it out. You have to take into consideration how much more expensive pedals are here in Australia to in the US. A $50usd danelectro mini pedal (that is normally discounted to $35-40usd) lists at $109aud here, for example.

EDIT: Having read the reviews here: http://www.harmony-central.com/Effec.../A_SC7-01.html I should have bought it myself, sounds like a decent buy, especially for the money!
