  • NGD - project pieces coming together

Been working the my financial administration (my wife) to put together my next build and the parts are starting to filter in.

The neck and body are from Warmoth. The body is an alder Strat shape in candy red and is routed H-S-H. I'm using a Schaller 475 bridge for the first time. I'm wanting to use two humbuckers (still trying to decide on which ones) with MV and MT on a three way switch and a push - pull for series / parallel.

The neck is a straight maple Strat neck with a 59 roundback profile and SS frets.

Can't wait to finish getting this together.

    Looking forward to the progress,tho!

Gorgeous color! great depth in that paint..
Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

              I'm feeling a C/59 Hybrid/Pearly Gates in nickel covered.

              Sweet strat!

Yeah. Nickel covers are in the plan. I was leaning toward DiMarzio Transitions, since I'm really liking them in my LIII, but the C59 Hybrid / Pearly Gates sound intriguing, too. I'll just have see if the local guy I usually deal with on pickups can do that. I know he's a DMZ dealer, though.

Rand, the 475 is designed as a top loader. I was going for something a little simpler on this than a tremolo, and wanted something a little different from a tune-o-matic.

I know this thread is old, but hey DKSEARS if you are still around can you tell me where you got the pickguard shown?, all the aged pearl guards (I can find) seem to have the black layer sandwiched in (3-ply) and they dont look as good.

His last activity was 02-15-2022 so maybe he is still around. I'd love updated pics, anyway.
