Need opinions on esp ltd ec 1000 Koa wood guitar

Looking for opinions and advice on this particular guitar. First thing that caught my attention of course is its appearance. Gotta admit the Koa wood is a beauty. Thanks in advance for replies.

I had a koa Carvin bass once
Beautiful and heavy

It's a Koa veneer on the ESP LTD over mahogany

Koa is beautiful and close in tone to mahogany

Yeah it's just a veneer, not a "true" top really. Best of both worlds IMO (economical and perty)

i like the sound of the koa eclipse however i'm personally not a fan of the bridge of it.

Bridge looks fine, but I am not a huge fan of 24 fret guitars.

Haven't played the Koa model but I've played standard ec1000s and they felt great

i just find that type of bridge uncomfy not a aesthetic gripe

From the specs, it says it's a koa top, not a koa veneer. It's sitting at home waiting for me to get back from my vacation. :cool2:

I'm totally happy with my purchase. Besides being beautiful, it plays great. Couldn't be happier.

Based of the specs, I'd probably put a regular Custom in the bridge, but that could be achieved with mag swaps. It does look stunning imo
