Hello guys,
I sold an old kramer baretta which i made and bought everything i need for the build of the best iconic californian guitars of the 80's : Van Halen's Frankenstrat and George Lynch's Tiger.
Here is my second Van Halen build (after the kramer 5150 that i Sold) :
This one has :
- A basswood body (yeah i know original one is ash)
- A graphtech nut (original one is brass)
- A gotoh (modern vintage) bridge. (original one is a fender tremolo)
- A 78 model pickup with a 1974 gibson cts pot
- a maple neck (22 frets)
Now this is my new Frankie waiting for the White coat :
This one will have :
- Complete relic treatment scaled with high res templates made with high resolutions pictures of the VH1 Frankie and the Fender Frankie.
- A floyd rose 1984
- A fender EVH pickup (this one will have the 300 limited edition signed by eddie himself. There are some little differences between the limited version of the humbucker and the current ones, I can say they sound slightly different too). The way the pickup is wound is different and the magnet is calibrated differently.
- A Birdseye Maple frankie Neck from Musikraft with steel frets.
- A Northern Ash body for knee guitars
- Schaller m6 mini tuners
- a 500k Cts pot from an old broken 1974 Gibson LesPaul
- Original relfectors (those took me 3 months of research on internet to find someone who still sell them).
For the George Lynch tiger :
- Vintage non fine tuners floyd rose
- Musikraft neck (vintage fender style) with graphtech nut
- Gotoh locking tuners (vintage look)
- A Custome JB pickup : pole pieces and screws from a 1974 T top and magnet from the same T Top
- a 300k CTS pot
If you have any advices or knowledges about those legendary guitars i'll take them !
