Happy Birthday to ME!
I nabbed a used Fender American Special Mustang today! This is a really oddball guitar. First off, it's the first American made Mustang in quite a long time. Second, it's not a traditional Mustang. This baby is an HH configuration with dual Atomic Humbuckers. It also has a stoptail and tune o matic bridge. 3-way selector switch. AND the volume knob is a push pull switch that when pulled gives split coil wiring for each of the pickups.
Plus black, red tort, and zebra pickups. What's not to like?
And if that's not enough she came with a proper Fender hardshell case too.
I got it home, pulled it apart, and gave it a proper deep cleaning. Also added copper sheilding tape to all the cavities while I was in there. Tomorrow I'll give it a proper setup. Whee!![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180226/7ac6b64a8fc1a820b2b76f0a617bd730.jpg)
