I hate the local guitar guitar shop - but it's the only one within hours of driving. I'm a bit tired of fussing with this strat, but I am considering shipping it to a bigger city to have it set up. Then again I could save that money and just sell it. Decision, decisions. In the future I will obviously not use that store for setups again.

i would sell it, a guitar shouldn't require you to go that far for it, unless you really like it!
And I know the pain, closest decent repair work to me is a 2 hour drive each way.

If the strat isn't doing it for you, see it and get something you'll use.
