  • Anyone familiar with Swiss made Relish guitar?

Very expensive, but also very cool looking axes. https://relish.swiss/guitars/mary-a/bloody.html
They have both aluminum and wood core designs.

I've looked at some music press reports and their website. I'm very impressed. I like their designs, their material choices, and methods of execution. Should be awesome guitars.

One of the things I wonder, is how they attach the wood to the aluminum. There are no screw holes visible, and I'm not sure of what adhesives would bond aluminum to wood.

Oops. If I had just scrolled down a bit, I would have seen the "exploded" diagram where they show how it's constructed.

The back is actually held on with magnets, with isolators so the aluminum plate "floats" in the middle.

Yeah, but do they come with a pickguard or binding, cause everyone knows that's where the tone comes from on single cut style guitars.

They are really pretty and very well made. Cool innovations.

                Very interesting and innovative design.
Working on the electronics would be a breeze with that access.

If you watch their videos, you'll see they use a "touch" pickup control system. You can barely even see the LED's in the body until you touch them and turn them on.

I remember seeing those when they first came out. Cool idea, and fairly nice looking but quite expensive. Cosmetically they look a little topheavy to me, like a pretty face with a really big forehead.

Not so sure about an electronic switching system - I think many of us switch by feel most of the time, without looking down for a specific small spot on the guitar. I know I do. But I guess it would become natural after awhile, especially if that was the only guitar you were playing.

And to get the inevitable silliness out of the way, I wonder if they come in ketchup red and mustard yellow...

Close. Bloody Mary but no yellow. Just a Fiery Mary.
