  • Mounting ring with tuner

So Shadow electronics makes humbucker mounting rings with built in tuners. They have some for flat-top bodies, carved-top bodies, and tremolo guitars. But they don't have one specified for a carved top body with a tremolo bridge. Should a carved-top humbucker ring fit a carved top body with a tremolo bar, or do I forget the carved top body and switch to a flat top body with a tremolo mounting ring? Or is there a third option that I haven't found?

Just going from what you gave us, I'd say go with the carved top ring. But to be certain, what model guitar is it? The tremolo has no effect on what mounting ring to use. I will say that depending on the severity of the curvature of your top, it may have a better or worse fit. The carved-top rings are designed around Les Pauls and other Gibson guitars.
