Eko Ranger 12 string??

[I NEED HELP123]

I was looking for a 12 string second hand and came across this guy:


It's an Eko ranger 12 string from the 80's. I can't find much about this guitar. Can anyone tell me something about it? Is it worth buying? I think it looks awesome though.

Eko apparently was a popular guitar company in Europe back in the 60's/70's. The company sold electric and acoustic guitars. Factory's closed somewhere in the early 80's. The company has recently been revived, but I read the reviews about the reissue and they say its not the same quality as the old ones.

Jimmy page also had one, rumors go round that this guitar was used on the song 'Thank You'(which is a great song btw). If that's true, I think it sounds great!

Eko made all the Vox guitars in the 60s.

There are like 20 EKOs on the Guitar center used site, but they dont look vintage. Probably reissues. Weird thing is almost all are in Florida

Yeah, your right. They are reissues, an easy giveaway is the neckplate. The old ones have slanted sides like this:


Quite interesting by the way, that they are bolt-on acoustics. Never saw an acoustic like that before.
