1977. Lawsuit Era, but not a lawsuit guitar.

Here's how it looks at the moment...

Damn. My dumberness continues. But thanks for the reassurance.

According to ehdwuld, apparently not. For which I'm thankful.

But I had no idea the pickups were SD JB/59 combo until yesterday. Which I guess are nice, but to my recollection I'd never heard them before I had this guitar. I might keep them for a while, even if they weren't what I was looking for.

I like these https://www.amazon.com/Guitar-Savers.../dp/B019WTLVKW over a strap lock system.

With the sealed switch that is going bad, I would just buy a switch craft. and upgrade the output jack for a switch craft while you're at it. The control pots I would leave alone if they're otherwise functional. Maybe shoot some contact cleaner inside and work them around.

Locking tuners and a bone nut would be a good upgrade suggestion. I would go for whatever tuning machines come in a 18:1 ratio. One caveat with the bone nut, is paying someone to cut the nut and set it up for you. both those things you can do on your own if you're willing to learn. nut files can be expensive. What I used to do is wrap some sandpaper over some feeler gages (the longer varitety) file them that way. Not the most comfortable way, but it can get the job done.

There's a Paul Davids YouTube video where he suggests "budget strap locks" in the form of the rubber stoppers from Grolsch beer bottles.

But at around the same price, I could get 3 pairs of Guitar Savers.
