Got five of my guitars back from my guitar tech recently and they’ve had extensive amounts of work.

Daemoness Atlantean has had Seymour Duncan Black Winters installed, been refretted with Stainless Steel Frets and Setup in D Standard with NYXL 10-52.
Blue Ibanez RGIT20FE has been refretted with Stainless Steel frets, has all the electronics replaced, had Fishman Killswitch Engage Fluences and Rechargeable battery pack installed then setup in Drop C with NYXL 10-60.
PRS SE Holcomb has been refretted with Stainless Steel frets and setup in Drop C with NYXL 10-60.

You must really go through frets!!
In my 31 years of playing I’ve never had to do a fret job

I'm thinking he's converting all his guitars to SS. Not a cheap undertaking.

You are correct, honestly my tech gave me a bulk discount so they average about it 100 bucks each to refret instead of his usual 175 rate but that also includes the includes the setup.
All the work totalled about 775 for all the work and it took him about 2 or 3 weeks to do it because repairs isn’t his main occupation (he mainly builds custom basses and guitars.)
He’s still got 3 left to refret and work on in various degrees.
I went for the stainless steel for many reasons, one it provides a feel of continuity between all my collection since they are all extra jumbo/jumbo frets.
It means the quality of the fretwork on the blue Ibanez especially is much better.
The longevity of the life of the frets compared to nickel frets.
The feeling of the frets is so much smoother and so much more comfortable.
