Have been wanting to this for quite a while and since I've kind of had some free time lately I figured it was time.
It's an '05 Standard Faded that was honey burst up until last week. A fair amount of sanding and steaming out of a few scars and some more sanding and I was pretty happy with the top. It took the Trans-tint lemon yellow dye pretty well. I cut the dye with denatured alcohol, did 2 coats with a light sanding in between. Shot it with a coat of StewMac sanding sealer, I'll lightly sand and shoot a coat again tomorrow. once I see it with a few coats of sealer I'll decide whether to go with a gloss lacquer topcoat or just buff out the sealer like the original finish was.
I also ordered up some Cream Tone plastics to doll it up a bit.
