I just scored a used Marshall JCM900 series cabinet; and for kicks I put my DMM on the output jacks to measure the impedance, and for the 16 ohm setting the meter read 13.5 ohms. And for the 4 ohm setting, the meter read 3.5 ohms. Is it normal for the impedance to vary this much? I bought it off of a friend who purchased it new, and nothing has been altered. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Re: Yet another impedance question...
Your measuring DC resistance with your meter.
Impedance is AC resistance. Yes, it should "vary" that much.
Impedance takes into account frequency and power.
Dc resistance doesn't - thus the seeming discrepancy.
Everythings fine.
