  • Active versus Passive Pots?

I already know that active pots can boost your signal and passive pots dont, but as far as responsivness and all the other factors, how do they differ? If active pots "acted" like passive pots maybe more people would use them? My only experience with them was on a Triple XXX, but that was only for a few minutes so i didnt get to tweak. Anyways, does anyone know?

I'm not too sure about active circuits? Doesn't an active circuit have a means of powering via a battery and uses lower pot resistance values...

A passive pot only removes from the circuit and doesn't add anything..This is a very simplified answer to something I shouldn't be answering!
