  • Powered near-field monitors?

Faves are usually outta the price range.

I was looking for powered monitors with 8 inch speakers a few years ago and went for the Behringer Truth monitors, since they're basically copies of Mackie monitors.
I have to say, they've never gone down, have plenty of volume,
bass, and are flat enough to mix with. They also have EQ adjustments on the back, so you can dial them to a room.
Not everything Behringer makes is good, but so far, I've been very happy with these monitors. When I bought them, I thought
I was getting a great price at $400 for the pair. I just noticed that some online companies are now selling them for $300.
I'd snap those up, especially for $300. Before these, I had
event 20/20's. They sounded no better, plus they blew up.
