Wow, I actually like it a lot. Not many 'new' fender guitar shapes/variants that I do, but I really dig this one.

Double cut tele is exactly right. I wonder how much of a neck angle it has, and whether the top if countoured somewhat to disguise it, and whether you can lay it flat.

I saw them at NAMM and spoke to the Fender rep about them. They are made in Korea like the Esquire GT's, SCorpions, and Celtics of the specialty line. They look and feel much like the Samicks and Schecters. I liked the white one.

Have double-cutaway teles been made before by anyone? I briefly contemplated it.... after I'd made my guitar

Quite a nice looking thing, i feel a bit of a gibson vibe from it, but its not bad, tho i have seen prettier double cuts. Uglier ones aswell

Maybe it's because both horns are symetrical?

Reminds me of a Telecaster bass in some ways.

Ick. A double cut tele...really revolutionary. Just wait till they come out with the 'relic 1953' version, except they will say 'had this guitar been made in 1953, and someone played it in bar for 40 years, it would look something like this'.
In reality, Joey, the clumsy mail carrier, knocked it off the table at the factory.

Cool. But I prefer the tele-sonic. I'd check it out, though.

I played the original custom shop set-neck mahogany/p90 tele a while back, and it was one of the best guitars I've EVER played.

Good concept, but I don't really like mixing a Tele and Strat. I love both, but separate.
