  • I made this (mostly). Pretty stoked.

My first attempt at cutting a body from scratch. Definitely learned a lot and it's not perfect but I am stoked with how it turned out. Made the body from a blank, routed it, made the pickguard from scratch, wired the sucker up. Mahogany body with a roasted maple neck w/ ebony fretboard and bareknuckle black mule pickups.

Best part is it sounds freaking great. Twangy & clear but not harsh. The unfinished neck is the best. I am not sure if I'll ever go back to other necks really. Super fun project. Now I am going to try and do two more. One of them being a thinline tele

I'm not a Tele guy but that looks great. Agreed on roasted maple necks. I LOVE mine.

          Nice! Dig the pickguard material.

Thanks! Made it from some weird acrylic sheets from China

That's pretty impressive for a first attempt. If you made any mistakes, I sure don't see them. Nice job.

Very cool! The pickguard/rear route combo is interesting.

Looks great! Usually not a fan of the baby or light blues, but the design in the pickguard looks good with it......yeah huge fan of unfinished necks myself especially once they get some sweat and hand oil rubbed in them I like you kept the back wood as well nicely done especially on a first attempt
