    Yes. This is the case. No more new Ash bodies. The new fender line is pine.

      I think the Master Built ones are still using ash. But not the normal lines. I think they went to pine because it has some sort of history with Fender, not because it is a fabulous wood for guitars.

            The GOOD news is that there are literally THOUSANDS of ash guitars in the used market.
