Partial/per-string capos

I'm doing some lite research into partial and per-string capos and thought I'd start a thread here to see if anyone wants to contribute anything.

Spider capo: This is a pretty cool concept, having basically 6 tiny capos built in to one capo. Seems like the capo has been around about a decade now. Have any other manufacturers released per-string capos? I'm intrigued, but would love to know if there have been any improvements on the design (like using metal instead of plastic).

The biggest improvement I could think of is if the pressure elements came down on the fret, so that it stopped downward pressure at the fret (instead of behind the fret, unevenly pulling some strings out of tune)

The other thing is the benefit is mostly when the strings are open. As soon as you drop a chord on there, you're playing standard tuning again.

At some point, I think you're almost better off with an autoharp.

I have seen guitarists use special capos with notches taken out of them, for weird tunings. Seems like a lot of stuff to remember!

I see the Singer-Songwriter, Americana and Folk guitarists using them. I have never tried one myself.
