  • Rackmounting my MB Mark3 Head

    Hi guys
    how are we all

ive got a mesa boogie mark3 simulclass short head, and im considering puttting it into one of those Mesa Boogie Rackmount kits so it can stay in my rack

the reason i wanna do this is that it saves alot of time and worry when setting up on stage - stressin to make sure all the leads are going into the right places etc
also, i use a tc electronic g major with the head, so having both amp and effects in 1 rack would be highly usefull
do any of u have this? done this?
also, im finding it hard to track down a mesa boogie rackmount kit, do you know where to get another brand or whatever?

    thanks for ur time
    Ishmun

I have not converted a Mesa head to rackmount but it is very possible. I would highly suggest ordering the conversion kit through a authorized Mesa dealer. It's not a commonly stocked item and I doubt you'll find one in stock anywhere but any dealer can order you one. I'm sure you can get the part number from Mesa, either from thier website or by calling them.

Mesa still shows the 17" rack kits in thier 2004 product literature. There is a different version for fan or no fan amps. You can get those from any dealer by order.

They are listed after page 4 in hardware and accesories.
