  • Do single coils sound good in mahogany?

I was just wondering what single coils sound like in mahogany, cos the majority of single coil guitars i hear of are alder strats and teles i guess, except for some p90 gibsons.

I mean would a set of stratty single coils sound a lot fatter in mahogany or what would the results be?

    Just curious.

I don't know why they shouldn't sound good!

I almost pulled the handle on getting a mahogany tele body from Warmoth a while back, 'cause I thought it would be cool and different ... and you're right, we already know that several Gibson's with mahogany bodies and P90' sound terrific ...

when Salvage was posting here, he gave up love for his mahogany strat quite a few times
