About a year ago I bought a blonde 2016 Classic Player Baja Telecaster. The fat soft-V shape neck is super comfortable and it got me wanting to replace the thinner C shape neck on my 2004 MIM Tele with the same kind of neck.

Long and Mcquaalude hasn't had a replacement Tele neck with a soft v shape in stock all year. Supply chain issues.

I was perusing marketplace when I saw a sunburst Baja Tele priced a little less than usual. It was dirty, and had some wear, but the neck and frets were in good shape so I bought it.

Although I like ash for a Tele body, nicer grain for sure, the Baja neck pickup cavity is single coil size. My '04 MIM std body is Alder but is very resonant and has a HB sized neck pickup cavity, and the electronics I like are already wired up. So I took easy street and swapped necks.

Results have been fantastic. I'm going to sell the Baja body + '04 std neck for relatively cheap to reflect the need of refret and the mismatch of neck and body.
