I was actually looking one of their 7 strings because i was hoping the Indonesia market has changed for the better lately. big woof.

FedEx driver either fell on top of it, or dropped something heavy onto it. The guitar was strung tight, and zero padding between headstock and V tips. Any weight or pressure would go directly to this joint is my guess.
I watched a few HB unboxing videos and they all said they were packed poorly.
This one is no exception. The top side of the smaller box is ripped out like it took a fall at least once in its trip.

Let us know how they are going to remedy this.

Ouch, nasty!

One other issue I've seen with these guitars when they were released is that the black (seemingly non conductive?) plating on the bridge/tailpiece was so thick that the strings couldn't be earthed. Don't know if this has been fixed, but something to keep in mind.

I took and sent pictures as soon as I opened it up.

I bought it off reverb, so I am supposed to contact the seller which is Harley Benton themselves, and give them 24 hrs to respond.
As of right now they have 6hrs remaining.

Then I will request a full refund through reverb.
Not sure how long of a process that is.


I'm sure I can glue and clamp and it will probably be fine as it seems like a very clean break. But I'm not going to start that until I hear something back. So it's just sitting here in my living room for now.

best scenario is they issue refund and don't request the item back. Then I'll glue it up and play it like I stole it ha ha.

But my guess is they'll want to see some sort of tracking number that is headed back before reverb starts the refund process... I don't think I've ever sent anything back off reverb before so... I'm just guessing.
