I totally get it. I've currently got 10 guitars that are nearly finished and have been for 4-5 months because I lost motivation. Some of them only need final polishing and put them together.

But that's a cool idea that should be worked on. Just one step at a time and it'll be finished in no time (I keep telling myself that).

It's kinda funny that for the past three years I was so motivated and excited about building guitars that I'd start one or two every week. And I'd have ideas in my head for 3 or 4 more all the time. Then I had a serious spinal surgery, eye surgery and wrist surgery and I just haven't seemed to get back in the groove.

Just hang in there, the motivation will return eventually.

Yeah, physical/medical crap really knocks it out of you, you just have to cling on to whatever that little spark is that gives you inspiration. It gets dim, but don't ever let it go out.

If it can happen to a guitar doctor it can happen to you. This guitar was always going to just be a wall piece so I should just slap it together with a cheap neck.

I guess that is why I couldn't figure out what was up with the odd pirate theme...

I think it needs fangs showing to get the Vampire thing across. Minor adjustment...

                  That said
                  - Red/Blacks stain
                  - Purple LED in the eye socket
                  - Something like a Rich horns headstock.
                  - All Black hardware
                  - Red/Black Nazgul pickup

There - all the hard stuff is done.

                  To battle the indifference...

                  Make a list, fairly detailed
                  - Select neck
                  - Order neck
                  - Fit neck
                  - Sand neck

                  etc.

Might be quite long. Knock off one little task every other day. Save big ones for a weekend. It'll be done in no time.

                  Or you are big poo-say...

I've got 12 guitar builds waiting. I could use a little of your help.

That is very impressive! A rail pickup such as the Dimebucker would look killer in that! Would also recommend a Maple neck with something like cross inlays.

You gotta see that one through!
