Pretty top. Are those Grover tuners or imitations? How's the rest of the hardware? (haven't watched the video yet)

Edit: Just watched it. So they are Grover imitations. That's sad. Upgrading all the hardware and electronics would go a long way. Even replace the nut with bone or Graphtech.

The tuners looked suspect to me. But I never question it because Steve knows how to spot a fake Lester unless he is intentionally buying a fake Lester.

All the things I was curious about....
, on the website(s) you never can see the headstock logo, so I was really curious if they even read "Gibson" on them. I had only ever seen one guy review one on YouTube, but now there are a handful of videos up.

I Was really wondering how long it would take to show up.... And IF it was really going to show up.

Also how closely the real guitar matched the picture (mine is quite a bit different)

And I was curious about overall build quality, wasn't sure if I'd get some shoddy plywood under spray paint, or a passable player. I was honestly happily surprised with the whole process.

I knew to expect cheap electronics, but I can easily work around that.

          Overall I'd say it's a fine guitar for $292 .
I am pleased with my purchase.
Know that I will never call this a Gibson, or try to pawn it off as such.
I will always just refer to it as a les paul...with lower case letters.

Once I popped a decent pickup into it (Gibson DSC from my BFG LP) it really woke up and sounds actually...pretty good.
I will either stick my old Gibson tuners on it, or else buy some proper gotoh or Grovers pretty soon.

Not sure if I'll swap the bridge and stop bar or not, we shall see..

            My Ehdwuld branded axes
            are Aliexpress creations

The electronics and sometimes the hardware are suspect

I always plan on changing them

But as far as build quality
            They are put together nicely
Nice woods . Maybe not the advertised mahogany
            But shaped and sanded well

            They all play fine
            Adjust nicely

None of mine were delivered with Gibson logo

            You should enjoy your purchase

            How's the neck
            60s slim ?
            Fat chunky?

I think the clones use too much angle in the headstock

            Speaking of
            Scarf joint?

... but are you playing authentic???!??!?!?!?!?

J/K. It does look pretty. Not sure if I'm big into the abalone inlays, but the top and the gold hardware look nice.

Sounds cool in your clip. Is the Gibson DSC a thing? What is it about?

I think I can make out a scarf joint.

Wonder what kind of wood it is.

                Any guesses?

The Gibson pickup came out of my Gibson BFG Les Paul. It's a double slug. Don't know much about it, I put a Distortion in the BFG and so this has just been sitting on the shelf. It's not a DD, but it's 100x better than whatever junker was in this thing.

I would say it's some kind of Asian Mahogany lookalike like Agathis or Nato. Not sure it really matters, though. If it sounds good, it is good.

Looks like the same thing my Grote semi-hollow is made of (tbh it looks like Mahogany) Stuff sounds great and does'nt lack for anything tone-wise..

$300 for a Gibson makes a LOT more sense to me

Jokes apart, I'm no afficionado ...but it definitely had me fooled. Sounds like the real thing too, especially w/ the new pup..

probably a mahogany ish wood with a Luan veneer

Mine have pretty veneer on the back to cover the 3 piece body

                              I'm not bothered
