  • Went to my 1st guitar show and bought something

What a funky scene at the guitar show. Lots of things I could never afford and even if I could, I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable playing them ever. Still amazing to look at. Kind of a bummer on the lack of brand diversity. Fender or Gibson and a smattering of other stuff. I know that's because the brand names are the things that sell but I was still hoping for a bit more of things that are not so common.

Speaking of diversity.....middle age to old white guys. That was the crowd. Every single one of them. Pretty funny. But we were in Orange County, CA where I think middle age white guys are created.

Anywho, it was super fun. Lots of great stuff and if I ever get super rich I'll go back and buy half the place.

I did buy one thing. At a great price and something I've struggled to find. Check it out.

Gibson Memphis ES 295 Reissue. She's a beaut.

That's been a dream guitar of mine for decades. Didn't know they had a reissue out in recent years.

Middle aged white guys are the only attendees at guitar shows no matter what area of the country you are in.

Danny Gatton had one, too - and his licks were better than Scotty's.

Less than what I see them listed for by a wide margin. And honestly I really struggled to even find one listed.
