      Built like a tank, delievers mesa level overdrive tones on a fender amp. Works best on clean combos, you could have a hard time dialing 70's marshall tones on it, kinda impossible.

      If that's what you are looking for, use a barber direct drive through a tube amp.

        Got one. I found it works best when recording direct. Quieter pick-ups will shush the noise ratio, common with tube stuff. I didn't like it so much to drive the amp ( Fender Prosonic ), as it sounded like it wanted to fight the pre on the amp. ( My amp didn't have a preamp input).
        Clean channel on that pedal also is not very clean. It does have a dipswitch in the back to adjust the voltage from clean to dirty, but still found it a little grungy.
        If you like spongy, searing tones, this pedal does have that!
