I'm guessing you paid an extra thou or two over what I did in order to get that solid braz neck.

I really have to wonder if there is *that*much difference between IRW and BRW. But, I know you are a Santana guy and that's a pretty huge upgrade from a McCarty.

Well you are close as to price, about 2.5 K over yours. Mostly for the brazilian neck, partly for the body decorative stuff, and partly for the fact that they only made 200. I considered going a private stock with the IRW neck and brazilian fretboard but figured with the ban on brazilian rosewood imports the scarcity of it "may" help it hold it's value or even go up. I have seen my Santana 1 going for twice what I paid for it online (don't know if they got it or not), mostly because it is a limited discontinued model I'm sure.

Absolute Sweetness!!!! Considering what you did to aquire that guitar, don't even think about babying it too much. Play that thing like an everday player, and make it a number one. A guitar like that deserves it. I'll never, for the life of me, understand why anyone dislikes PRS guitars. I've owned a number of them, in addition to lots of popular classics, and all of them are as close to perfection as it gets. The McCarty and Santana necks are second to none, in my opinion.

I really wish my teal black McCarty had a rosewood neck! I'm starting to really dig necks with an unfinished feel. I think my dream guitar would be a Les Paul Std that has a top like Scott's blue McCarty and a solid brazilian RW neck w/binding.

Jonser, love that teal PRS. Picking a color was a bit of a problem the Santana's I found were yellow (my other one is that color), natural (not my cup of tea), orange (not for me), mateo blue (sorry Scott doesn't due it either), black (was cool but only with flame) and amber. All my other PRS's are flamed so I thought a quilt would be cool.

My PRS choice colors are whale blue and violin amber. Those two colors alone could fill a personal warehouse for me.

GJ, you have to play a RW neck one sometime. The feeling is just crazy. They don't call it crackwood for nothing.
