  • What power amp for my Mesa Quad?

...and how much should I pay? I'm mainly looking at 50-60 watters like the Mesa 50/50 and the Peavey Classic 60.

Nice, but out of my budget. I'd really like to keep the price around $500. How about those Marshall monoblocs?

        Mesa 50/50.

I regret selling it every time I recommend it to someone.

When did you buy the Quad? Get any Mesa you can afford like the 50/50, 2:90, 295, or step up to a VHT. Actually, that 60/60 Peavey was a gem. When I used a rack setup, I had a JMP-1 into either a Peavey 6060 or Mesa 295. Of course the Mesa is a bit better, but not by much.

Right when I sold my Mark IV. I loved that amp, but I've been lusting after Mark IIC/III tones.

I just bought a Mesa 50 / 50 on Monday. I used to have one, sold it, regreted it immediately, and finally got another one. You cannot beat that TONE.............
