Has anyone here made their own tap tempo pedal in a Hammond or similar enclosure? They seem super simple to make, and with the variety of small metal enclosures available you can really find & build something that fits your budget and pedal board well. Some of the Boss offerings for momentary and latched switches are fairly expensive when you consider that for roughly $10-15 in parts ( if even that much ) and a little time you can just build your own. My build would be for a Suhr Jack Rabbit tremolo that I really dig and use a lot in my band.

Re: Diy Tap tempo
I made this one for a DD-7 I no longer own.
The tricks are to:- Know in advance whether you need a normally open or normally closed switch, and
- Buy a soft-touch momentary pushbutton. Small Bear has 'em.
Edit: Actually, that photo shows it when it was a tremolo footswitch for a Vibro Champ. It has since been retrofitted with a soft-touch momentary.Last edited by Rich_S; 06-22-2015, 03:55 PM.Tra-la-laa, lala-la-laa!
