Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Personal Ibanez Tube Screamer! Cesar Diaz (SRV’s guitar tech) sold two of Vaughan’s Tube Screamers after he passed and this is one of them. We have two letters of authentication. One is from the direct purchaser from Cesar, and the other is from Ed Mathews (owner of Eddie Veg...

Kinda makes the $180 reissue ones seem like a bargain..

If I am buying any SRV pedal this will be the one I get..

Makes no sense it is no different than any other TS of the era. I can see buying a legend's ax. Or even an amp in some cases. Stompboxes? Nope. What is up for auction next Jimmy Page's tube socks for $5000.

Put a decimal place where the comma is and I'd still be hard pressed to give that for a Tube Screamer

            It's not a pedal, it's a collectible.

            Pros:
            Real SRV gear with COA

            Cons:
No one other than a guitar player knows what it is, so future value is limited by that.

Anyone who is a the slightest Stevie fan recognizes the number one wife guitar, and all Stevie fans recognize his other guitars like scotch, The Hamiltone and Lenny. Only a guitar nerd can recognize that tube screamer as Stevie's

Do you trust a COA from a reseller on Reverb?

For this item there's a chain of custody to Cesar Diaz. Other than that, well, depends.
